Anyone else have Mail go through "ALL" the NG's to check for unread instead of just the ones your subscribed to?

Yes, this happens if you use Sync Account. If you use Sync All then it does not 'appear' to happen?

Can you point me in the right direction to find that setting?

Right click on the top toolbar of WinMail>customise>in the left panel, select 'Sync all'>add>use the up or down arrows to position the button where you would like it to be. Add other useful buttons that way also, 'next unread' etc? HTH? -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS]

This actually occured on OE6 as well, but the reason it is so much more noticable is because of a perf bug that is known about, and a fix is currently being tested. I can't comment on if it will make it into Beta 2, but it will be fixed for release
